About the role

We are seeking an Interior Designer to lead the design vision for interior spaces from schematic concept through construction execution. This role requires balancing creativity, technical precision and client collaboration, translating lifestyle goals into highly curated selections and cohesive interiors.

As the Interior Designer, you are the design voice of the project, responsible for selections, materials, finishes and furnishings that bring the architectural framework to life. You will guide clients through every decision, ensure selections align with budget and schedule, and collaborate closely with the Project Developer, Estimator and Project Manager.

Client and design leadership

  • Serve as the client-facing design lead for interiors from schematic concepts through construction.
  • Guide clients through selections (fixtures, finishes, furnishings and palettes) with clarity and confidence.
  • Present design boards, mood concepts and curated selections that reflect client lifestyle and project vision.
  • Maintain design integrity while aligning with scope, feasibility and budget.

Project development

  • Collaborate with the Project Developer to refine floor plans, layouts and scope.
  • Own the Selections Timeline and proactively manage decision deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the Estimator to confirm pricing of selections and align design intent with budget constraints.
  • Generate and maintain specification sheets, finish schedules and vendor proposals.

Internal collaboration and handoff

  • Participate in weekly coordination meetings with the Estimator, Project Developer and Project Manager.
  • Provide construction-ready finish schedules, fixture lists and detailed selections packages.
  • Partner with the Project Manager during construction to resolve design questions, track deliveries and oversee installation quality.
  • Be the client's advocate during construction, ensuring the design vision is executed with precision.

Ideal candidate

  • 5+ years in high-end residential interior design or luxury design/build.
  • Strong portfolio of custom residential projects with proven design leadership.
  • Skilled at guiding clients through design decisions while managing budget realities.
  • Proficient in interior design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Studio Designer).
  • Experienced with BuildTools or similar project management platforms.
  • Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and client-facing polish.
