About this Project

Transforming an 8,600 sq. ft. historic property like 330 Freeman Parkway in Providence, Rhode Island, is no small feat—especially when it’s completed in a record six-month timeframe. At Hill & Harbor Design Build, we embraced the challenge to enhance this home’s functionality and aesthetic appeal while preserving its storied architecture.

Preserving History, Creating Elegance – The Cherry-Hallworth House, as it’s known, already had a rich history and stunning architectural details, such as intricate judge’s paneling and traditional woodwork. Our goal was to modernize the home while keeping these original elements intact.

Relocating the Kitchen: A complete redesign improved the kitchen’s layout, making it the heart of the home.

Bathroom Renovations: Every bathroom was gutted and reimagined with a fresh, luxurious design.

Marble Finishes: We incorporated marble throughout the home, adding a timeless elegance that complements the historic details.

Nuanced Enhancements

Rather than sweeping changes, the project focused on making nuanced improvements to the home’s interior architecture. These updates respected the home’s original craftsmanship while subtly elevating the overall design.

Efficiency and Excellence: The project’s swift six-month completion is a testament to the efficient systems we’ve built at Hill & Harbor Design Build. Every step, from planning to execution, was meticulously managed to deliver a seamless renovation process for the homeowner.

At Hill & Harbor, we believe in blending history with innovation to create homes that stand the test of time. The transformation of 330 Freeman Parkway exemplifies how modern luxury and historic charm can coexist in harmony.
