Luxury Social Media | Lifestyle Images

  • Objective: to create a series of high-quality, lifestyle oriented photography posts for HHDB social media accounts.
  • Focus: Utilize existing lifestyle image exports from 1 James video shoot, project photos and stock images.
  • Desired Response: to evoke emotion and aspiration in viewers, connecting Hill & Harbor with a desired lifestyle.
  • Post copy: will need to be written based on the specific set of images and their subject matter. Copy should focus on the exclusive lifestyle that HHDB clients experience rather than describing service / product features.
  • Photo selection: images should focus on people and the exclusive lifestyle HHDB clients enjoy. Photography should be artistic, unique and avoid wide angle photos that look like cell-phone or action cam images. Photography should have shallow depth of field whenever possible, and look like high-end custom photography even if they’re stock. Focusing on close-up details with shallow focus is desired as well.
  • Photo treatment: Full frame vertical photos, and all photos should have a 40-50% opacity grain overlay, and be de-saturated 10-15%. This creates images that look less sharp, more film-like and nostalgic. De-saturating the photos slightly creates a more romantic and “real” image that doesn’t look gaudy or fake.
