Responsibilities for Interior Designer: This role and responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, from creative design to project management and client relations. It is the Interior Designers’ Responsibility to Manage and Coordinate all aspects of the Selections Phase as well as Construction Coordination of Design Elements.

Execute the overall vision of the company by adhering to in-house processes/procedures that will produce consistency no matter where implemented. This will allow us to expand into different markets to create a franchise-like “Curated” business while developing our sister company, a full-service Interior Design and Furnishings firm.

General
  • Manage 4 – 6 projects simultaneously at different stages of the project lifecycle
  • Adhere to the HHDB Process and Procedures
  • Execute the Client Selections Timeline as prescribed in the Design Phase 3
  • Provide a 5 Star, Hosiptality Level, client experience
  • Create Sketches for Client understanding and Construction execution
  • Effectively manage Schedule of Client Selections Timeline during the Selections Phase per the outlined hours provided to the client, and in the Construction Agreement, plus the hours as budgeted for Construction Oversight
Facilitates Design & Selections Progress Meetings
  • Provide Meeting Agendas 24 Hours before Client Meetings
  • Provide Meeting Minutes within 24 business hours after Client Meetings
  • Ensures that s/he is working at maximum quality and efficiency for his/her assigned tasks and deliverables; maintains billable efficiency rate of 80% to client(s)
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Assist with recruiting additional Interior Designers and junior staff as required to meet operational requirements and to maintain acceptable client service levels.
  • Drive the growth and reputation of the firm.
Client Selections
  • Curate 2-3 Options of each Selection Item to fit the clients pre-determined budget, aesthetic, construction project schedule and Client Selections Timeline
  • Qualify Selections to be sure they coordinate with other aspects of the overall project
  • Hand off administration to Admin / Assistant Project Manager who will Document and
  • Weekly communication with project staff, design team and client
  • Work to Streamline and Systemize processes and procedures for consistent outcomes
Internal
Collaborate to develop our future presence in the market Establish and Manage Vendor Partnerships
  • Assess and select materials for internal use as we transition to becoming a retail vendor.
Construction
Sketch Layout/Details of Finishes for Construction examples below;

Delivery of Fixtures and finishes to be Coordinated by Project Manager
  • Pre-Punch List Walkthrough with Project Manager to be a second set of eyes for Quality Assurance
  • Conduct site visits at required milestones to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Selections Management
  • Ensure the schedule for client selections during the selection phase and construction oversight are managed within the hours outlined in the Construction Agreement and as budgeted, to maintain project efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Client Relations
  • Measured by monthly surveys administered to the client on the 3rd Friday of every month by Owner and reviewed with Owner
  • Average score of 7 or Higher Required on a 1-10 scale of client satisfaction throughout the project
  • Client Satisfaction comments to be shared with Designer
Education
  • 5 Years Experience managing a variety of projects – Internal & Project Based
  • Experience in High-End Residential construction projects required
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design Required
Offer/Terms of Agreement:
  • Base Salary: Yearly base salary of $85,000 – $95,000 per year, paid weekly as W-2 income.
  • Technology: Company-provided cell phone or BYOD rate of $60.00 per month (pre-tax), laptop provided under company policies for company-related use.
  • Retirement Plan: Available after 90 days of employment with a 4% company match.
  • Performance Review: Initial review after 90 days, secondary review at 6 months, yearly reviews on the anniversary date of hire.
  • PTO: 10 days of paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Hours: Flexible hours with the ability to work from home 90% of the time, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week based on project requirements, including evenings and weekends as necessary. Daily time sheets are required per project allocation using a digital smartphone app, in accordance with state law.
